Parents angry with state of bathrooms in Beardsley Park

Some Bridgeport parents are angry today after they say a Field Day that was scheduled for 400 elementary school kids in Beardsley Park was accommodated by only two portable bathrooms.

Randolph Brown, who is an active parent at Classical Studies Academy, says he had to call the city to bring out another portable bathroom because the two already out there were dirty and without toilet paper.

Parents say the stationary bathroom at the park was also out of service.

Brown says the slow economy is no excuse for this type of negligence.

Meanwhile, city officials say they're looking into the issue.
