A Bridgeport firefighter who was hurt in a possible arson fire is now home recovering from burns to his face and arms.

The fire occurred at around 2:30 a.m. at a multi-family home on Grand Street. Twenty-one people were forced out of their homes after the two-alarm fire broke out, according to fire officials.

Residents say they heard a loud explosion before the fire started, quickly engulfing all three floors of the home. Officials say there were no smoke detectors in the home.
