9/11 CT Remembers: Cafe Oo La La

On Sept. 11, 2001, Faina Yelenksy was managing a restaurant just blocks away from the World Trade Center.

The horrific scenes of destruction, chaos and despair left a major imprint on her mind.

After the events of Sept. 11, Yelenksy moved to Connecticut and opened Cafe Oo La La in Stamford.

Little did she know that tragedy would nearly strike her again when a 92-year-old man drove his car into the cafe.

Yelenksy used her brush with Sept. 11 to help keep calm through her most recent ordeal.

Fortunately, everyone inside survived the incident.
