Bridgeport fire leaves 3 families homeless

A fire that tore through a Bridgeport home early this morning forced three families out on to the street. Firefighters say as many as 15 people could have been inside the three-story multi-family home at the corner of Rosedale and Olive streets when the flames broke out at around 4:00 a.m.Tenant Lucy Ocasio says she and her family were asleep when a neighbor came knocking on their door, warning them about the fire. Flames and smoke consumed part of the house, but firefighters who arrived on the scene were able to put out the fire before the entire building burned. All the residents managed to escape to safety. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
