Wilton eyes beer sales in grocery stores

Wilton residents are moving closer to being able to vote on whether grocery stores will be able to sell beer and malt liquor.

Town officials say today they verified enough petition signatures to introduce a ballot question. The town registrar's office says there were more than 1,000 signatures that were gathered.

Now, the Board of Selectmen will have to approve the question being put on the ballot in November.
