Police: Lieutenant, K-9 struck by hit-and-run driver

Police say that a Bridgeport lieutenant and his K-9 were struck by a hit-and-run driver while responding to a call tonight.

Authorities say the accident happened on Seaview Avenue in Norwalk. They say the officer was taken to the hospital, but his condition is unknown. The K-9 was also rushed to the vet.

Officials say they are looking for a black or blue compact vehicle that will have damage to its left side.
