Deer jumps into seal tank at Maritime Aquarium

It was a wild day for some at the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk yesterday after a deer jumped into a seal tank.

Officials say they believe the deer swam up the Norwalk River and then jumped a fence before ending up paddling along in the pool. They say the seals were kept inside while the deer swam in the outdoor tank.

Staff members say that after about 15 minutes, the deer was lured back to dry land with the help of a ramp.

Aquarium officials say the deer appeared to be in good shape and ran straight back toward the river.
