Police: Norwalk woman shot overnight in her home

Police in Norwalk say they are investigating after a woman was shot overnight while in her home on Strawberry Hill Avenue.

Authorities say the 20-year-old was in her bed when two suspects fired shots from outside at around 2:30 a.m. They say the victim was wounded and transported to the hospital, but is expected to be OK.

According to the father of Amos Brown, Jr., who was killed last year, the victim was his son's girlfriend. Officials say the shooting is likely connected to other investigations in Norwalk, but would not confirm if it's linked to the murder of Brown.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
