Man pistol-whipped in Milford

Milford police say they're investigating an attempted robbery where a man was pistol-whipped by the gunman.

Officers say the 59-year-old victim told police the suspect came up behind him yesterday on South Broad Street near Noble Avenue, assaulted him and demanded money.

Police say the suspect fled before taking anything.

Authorities describe the suspect as a white man in his mid 20s to early 30s with a thin, drawn-in face. They say he was wearing blue shorts, a dark shirt and a tan hat.

Anyone with information is asked to call Milford police at (203) 877-1465.
