Police find connection in Stamford, Norwalk armed robberies

Police across Fairfield County are looking for a group of suspects they say are responsible for armed robberies in both Norwalk and Stamford last night.

One of the robberies happened at the Utuado Grocery store on Selleck Street in Stamford between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Police say a store employee was rushed by three men with masks and guns, demanding cash. The owner says the group got away with a few hundred dollars.

Investigators believe the same suspects then went to Norwalk and did the same thing at Fiesta Limena, a Peruvian restaurant on Connecticut Avenue. They say this time the suspects got away with $1,500 in cash.

Officers talked to witnesses at both locations and say they were able to tie the two robberies together based on descriptions of the suspects and a partial license plate number from a gray Honda Accord.
