Motorcyclist killed in Fairfield crash

A motorcyclist was killed yesterday after a collision with a car in Fairfield.

The 25-year-old driver of the motorcycle crashed into a BMW just after 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Congress Street and Black Rock Turnpike.

Police say the Massachusetts man was rushed to Saint Vincent's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Officials say they are still investigating the cause of the accident, but say that field sobriety tests show that the driver of the BMW was not drunk at the time of the collision.
