Man gets 1 year for fatal punch

A former chiropractor will spend a year in behind bars for fatally punching an elderly Stamford man.

Police say William Lindemann, 47, punched Herbert Davison, 78, after an argument in a Stamford parking lot in January 2009.

Witnesses say Davison hit his head on the pavement and he later died of a brain injury.

According to the Stamford Advocate, a judge told Lindemann he acted cruelly and callously toward Davidson when he left the older man bleeding on the pavement without calling for help.
