Police probe shots fired in Norwalk

Police say they're investigating reports of shots fired in South Norwalk Saturday night.

Investigators say someone fired a gun several times near the corner of North Main and Washington streets, an area crowded with people at the time. They say two potential suspects were spotted running along South Main Street and one of them hid behind a Dumpster in the Webster Street Lot, where a gun was later found.

Police say they took two 16-year-olds into custody for questioning, but did not arrest them.

Officers say no one was hurt.
