Greenwich resident sees Japan tsunami recovery faltering

A Greenwich investor has just returned from his second relief mission marking the six-month anniversary of the tsunami-earthquake disaster in Japan and says things are not going well.

Eiich Kuwana has raised more than $1,000,000 as part of a private relief effort. He says there is no longer the sense of national purpose that unified the country following the disaster.

?I think it's incumbent on the private industry, the [nonprofit organization], the nongovernment organizations to step up to the plate and to assist the victims,? he says.

Kuwana says he will continue to help and by standing the land of his heritage.
