Police probe death of Yale Univ. faculty member

New Haven police are investigating the death of a Yale University faculty member found beneath an open three-story window on campus this morning.

Police say the victim either fell or jumped from Hendrie Hall on Elm Street, just across from the New Haven Green at around 6 a.m.

Officials say the building is home to the school's opera, brass and percussion departments, but are not saying if the victim was affiliated with any of those programs.
