Stamford police net 20 suspects in undercover drug bust

Stamford police say that an undercover drug bust today has landed 20 people in jail, including three Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents.

Federal prosecutors say that a Florida state trooper and a Westchester County police officer were also among those arrested in a plot that brought prescription pain killers from Florida to Connecticut and New York.

At a news conference this afternoon, U.S. Attorney David Fein said that the TSA officers took bribes to allow tens of thousands of oxycodone pills and money safe passage through airport security.

Fein said that an arrest made by an undercover detective in a Stamford hotel back in April helped launch the investigation.
