Bridgeport man accused of firing shots at Fairfield home

A Bridgeport man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly fired five shots into a home and car in Fairfield over the weekend.

Police say Elvis Santiago is charged with two counts of reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm while under the influence after he fired two times into the car and three times into the upper floor of the home.

Investigators say the 26-year-old and one of the residents who lives in the home recently got into an argument. They say they believe Santiago was retaliating and that he might have wanted to kill the person he was targeting.

Santiago is still in jail and police say they're still looking for his gun. Police are not releasing the identity of his intended target.
