Bridgeport mother, children robbed at gunpoint

Bridgeport police are searching for three men who they say robbed and tied up a mother and her children at gunpoint inside their home.

According to authorities, the men approached the woman as she and her children were unloading groceries on Lee Avenue yesterday. The woman gave the men $2,000 before they threw her and her 5-year-old daughter to the ground, brought them inside and duct taped them in the kitchen.

The family's 10-year-old son says he witnessed the entire incident and was able to call 911 from a neighbor's home.

Police say the men got away in a four-door gray vehicle, possibly a Lexus or Nissan.
