Kitten thrown from car in Stratford recovering

Police say that one of the kittens that was thrown from a car in Stratford is recovering nicely, but is not yet ready to be adopted. Stratford police say that 73-year-old Edna Stelmach opened the door of her moving SUV and threw two of her six kittens onto the street at the Barnum Avenue cut-off.

One kitten was injured, but is now in stable condition.

The other kitten, unfortunately, died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Stelmach denies any wrongdoing in the case.
