Westport family reunited with missing dog

A Westport family was reunited today with its beloved dog that has been missing for a year and a half.

The family offered $5,000 for its 2-year-old Cavapoo named Bandit after it escaped from a neighbor?s house.

Bandit was recently picked up by a stranger on the side of Riverside Avenue after it was seen running in and out of busy traffic. The dog was brought to Westport Animal Shelter.

The owners believe that Bandit was used for breeding during the year she was gone and then discarded after she had puppies.

After offering a reward, posting signs, hiring a pet investigator and a pet psychic, the family is grateful to have Bandit safe at home again.
