Wicked weather wallops southwestern CT

Area residents braced today for another round of wet, wicked weather that swept through southwestern Connecticut.

Workers from the Fairfield Department of Public Works (DPW) were out making sure storm drains were free of debris.

DPW workers started at 7 a.m., cleaning barnacles from about 15 different tide gates.

Workers had to make sure that the flaps were working properly so rainwater can flow out and water from the creek does not come in. News 12 CT Weather Center
