Pilot killed in small-engine plane crash in Danbury

Danbury police say a pilot was killed tonight in a small-engine plane crash near Danbury Airport.

Officials say the plane was about to land at Danbury Airport when it brushed up against a house on Dartmouth Lane around 8:30 p.m.

According to officials, the woman inside the home at the time was balancing her checkbook when the crash happened. The plane only knocked off a gutter and everyone inside is okay.

The identity of the pilot has not yet been released and police are not saying where the plane was from.
