Schools pull out of track meet scheduled for Yom Kippur

Several Connecticut high schools have pulled out of a cross-country meet scheduled for tomorrow on the Yom Kippur holiday.

The Wickham Invitational in Manchester usually includes 3,500 runners from across New England.

The Connecticut chapter of the Anti-Defamation League says students shouldn't be forced to choose between an athletic event and their religious holiday.

Organizers say scheduling conflicts made it impossible for them to change the date.
