Police seek woman in connection to Trumbull bank robbery

Trumbull police are searching for a woman that they say robbed the People's United Bank on Madison Avenue before 9 a.m.

Investigators say the suspect took the teller by surprise, in part because she stood just over 5 feet tall.

They say the woman wore a red bandana over her face and handed the clerk a note demanding money.

Employees say she put the cash in a bag and ran away.

Officers say the woman got away with about $2,000.

Anyone with information is asked to call Trumbull police at 203- 261-3665.
