Bridgeport kidnapping case will soon head to federal court

In a News 12 Connecticut exclusive report, the Bridgeport police officer who arranged the surrender of confessed kidnapper Ann Pettway said today the case will soon be heading to federal court.

News 12 Connecticut's Frank Recchia spoke exclusively with Lt. David Daniels today who will be testifying in the case.

It's a case very personal to Daniels, since he has known Pettway for decades. Pettway admitted to Daniels last year that she had stolen Carlina White from a New York City hospital in 1987, and raised her as her own daughter in Bridgeport.

"I think she came to me because she knew me, and that my reputation in the community is one of honor," he said.
