Blumenthal demands refunds for customers who lost power

Sen. Richard Blumenthal is giving advice to residents who lost power in the wake of Tropical Storm Irene and the October nor'easter.

Blumenthal says customers should get refunds from their utility company for services they did not receive.

However, he says customers need to be responsible in checking their bills to see if they got credited.

As of right now, Blumenthal says utility companies are cooperating with customers on refunds.
