Accused scammers target Morton's Steakhouse in Stamford

Authorities say some customers at a Stamford steakhouse were scammed when paying for their meals with credit cards.

Morton's Steakhouse in Stamford is one of several high end restaurants in the area where some suspects, working as waiters, copied customers' credit card numbers and went on shopping sprees.

Prosecutors in the New York District Attorney's office say the multimillion dollar credit card fraud ring began last April.

Morton's says it's cooperating with authorities and had no further comment on the investigation.
