Westport football coach under fire for pornographic allegations

Westport police are investigating a freshman football coach at Staples High School who allegedly supplied students with passwords to a pornographic website.

Police say they will not name the coach this early in the investigation.

Authorities say a student newspaper at the high school recently reported the unconfirmed allegations on its website.

Superintendent Dr. Elliot Landon says the coach no longer has contact with players or students.

The superintendent released a statement on Wednesday stating that the school is investigating the incident and working with the Westport Police Department.

Officials say the coach has not been charged.
