CT woman donates $3,000 for stranger's dog surgery

A woman from Old Greenwich is donating $3,000 to cover a complete stranger's dog surgery costs. Brooklyn resident Kasia Bednarska says she was walking Tali, her Italian Greyhound, when the 11-month-old puppy was attacked by a pit bull mix. Bednarska says she was unable to cover the tail surgery. When learning of the story, Elizabeth Menegon says she instantly felt for the animal, and had to contact Bednarska. "I hope somebody sees this and just does one kind thing for another person," says Menegon. "It doesn't take much. It's the holidays. We should do something." Tali went into surgery this afternoon and is expected to make a full recovery.
