Motorcycle rider narrowly missed by falling 50-foot tree

A man from Easton says he's lucky to be alive after a 50-foot oak tree came crashing on top of him when he was riding his motorcycle yesterday.

Jim Nassetta, a former head cameraman for the Conan O'Brian Show, says he was riding his motorcycle down Morehouse Road when the accident occurred.

Nassetta says he flipped over the handlebars and came within inches of being electrocuted by a downed power line.

Nassetta says the owner of the property was cutting down the tree, using a guide rope that snapped due to poor planning.

The man who was cutting the tree down says he is very sorry about the accident, and especially for the damage to Nassetta's bike.

Police say they are investigating the incident.
