MA murder suspect misses arraignment after seizure
The man accused in a Massachusetts murder, who also allegedly led police on a high-speed chase in southwestern Connecticut yesterday, did not attend his arraignment this morning after court marshals say he suffered a seizure. Police arrested Thomas Gardner, 35, of Massachusetts, after he led them on a pursuit along local roads and I-95 in Fairfield and Westport. He crashed the car behind a theater in Westport, and was arrested once fleeing the scene on foot. Gardner has been linked to the death of Mike Duarte, 36, whose body was found in the suspect's home. Police even say the car Gardner crashed yesterday was that of the victim. Officials also say Gardner tried to hang himself in his holding cell last night.
He is in stable condition, and will face a judge in Connecticut on Monday before his court appearance in Massachusetts.Murder suspect faces several charges after chaseWestport police catch murder suspect after high-speed chase
