Stamford police hunt for shooting suspect

Stamford police say they are searching for the suspect responsible for a shooting that caused a car accident and left a man hospitalized in critical condition. The incident happened on Irving Avenue last night, where police say Justin Reid, 28, was shot in his car, which continued to hit another car down the street. They say Reid then fell out of his car and into the street. "A number of shots from a very high-powered handgun shot in a very populated area," says Capt. Richard Conklin, of the Stamford Police Department. "All things that give us major concerns."

No other injuries have been reported.
