Milford Democrats eye progress after Election Night wins

Milford Mayor-elect Ben Blake met with current Mayor Jim Richetelli today to begin the transition to the city's new administration. Blake, a Democrat, defeated Republican opponent Bob Joy, Jr. with 57 percent of the vote. Richetelli, also a Republican, said he does not expect the party shift to bring about any changes to taxpayers. "There may be some differences in style and little tweaks here and there, but overall the foundation is there," Richetelli said. Democrats also took control of the city's Board of Aldermen and school board.Complete Election Results
