3-alarm fire engulfs Norwalk multi-family house

A three-alarm fire that broke out inside a multi-family home in Norwalk overnight has left 16 people homeless.

Norwalk fire officials say they needed every one of their 32 firefighters to extinguish the flames that ignited at 105 South Main St. at around 1:30 a.m.

A mother of two who lives in the house says someone pounded on her door early this morning telling her to evacuate. No one was injured in the fire.

Officials say the cause of the fire is being investigated.

The Norwalk Fire Department is accepting gift cards for the fire victims' fund. Anyone who wants to make a donation can drop it off or mail it to 141 East Ave. in Norwalk.
