CT Light & Power to restore 100,000 outages tonight

Connecticut Light and Power officials say they hope to restore power to another 100,000 households this evening.As of 11 p.m., about 342,000 customers were without power.

Connecticut Light and Power President Jeff Butler says 1,500 crews are currently out in the street, and that he expects dozens of additional crews to join the restoration efforts this weekend. "Almost 80 percent of all our customers lost power at one time or another," Butler says. "This has had a major impact on people, on their lives, on families and we strive to get people restored as quickly as possible."
