Police: Stamford woman hit by 2 different cars

Stamford police say a woman was seriously hurt after she was hit by an SUV and then dragged by a taxi yesterday evening.
It happened under the I-95 overpass on Lockwood Avenue near Orange Street.
Police say the victim was first hit by a brown or tan Toyota 4-Runner from the late 1990s or early 2000s which then left the scene.
Officials say a taxi then hit her and dragged her 40-50 feet before someone got the taxi to stop.
The victim's injuries, while serious, are not life-threatening, according to authorities.
