Redding police are asking for witnesses to come forward in a fatal Christmas Day accident that left one person dead.
Officials say that a car being driven by Alexy Avetisyan, of Newton, lost control on Marchant Road and hit a tree, causing it to flip over.
Avetisyan's wife, 45-year-old Anne Marie Avetisyan, was killed after being thrown from the car, according to investigators.
Police say Alexy Avetisyan and the couple's 5-year-old son were taken to Danbury Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say speed may have been a factor in the accident.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Redding police at 203-938-3550.
