Shoppers descended upon malls across southwestern Connecticut to snatch up post-Christmas sales.
Some shoppers say they come out for the 50-percent-off sales on clothes, shoes and jewelry to begin their Christmas 2012 shopping.
Many bargain hunters say that today is better than Black Friday because the sales are just as good, and they don't have to deal with the early hours or long lines at stores.
