Volunteers hand out Christmas meals in Bridgeport

A handful of volunteers spent Christmas morning handing out homemade meals to the homeless and hungry in Bridgeport.

Those who attended the event on John Street got to enjoy hot soup, chicken, mashed potatoes and vegetables.

Volunteers say they are glad to donate their time when money is tight.One volunteer, Eddie Gray, used to be homeless. ?It feels good to be able to give something back instead of always taking,? Gray said.
