Food banks asking for help

Local food banks say they are in need of help.

The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County in Stamford says it has been getting more calls from middle class families.

Volunteers say they are being approached by white collar workers who have been affected by the down economy and others who have never needed help before.

They say demand is up, but donations are slowing down because people have less to give.
