Police continue to probe 2 fatal accidents on Route 8

Police are continuing to investigate two fatal accidents on Route 8 in Shelton yesterday morning.

Officials say the first accident occurred at around 1:30 a.m. when a car veered into a median and flipped over near exit 13. They say a husband and wife were killed after being thrown from the car.

About four hours later, a 30-year-old man from Ansonia was killed when his car crashed into a state-owned truck that was closing off a lane due to the first accident, according to police.
