VA police arrest Stamford shooting suspect

Police in Virginia have arrested a Stamford man for allegedly shooting another man in Mill Park this September. Police say Ricardo Stewart, 18, shot the victim when a dispute from a party spilled over into the park. The victim began arguing with a woman, and her friends reportedly opened fire. He then allegedly fled the state to avoid police. Once wounded, the man swam across a nearby river and someone on the other side called 911. Authorities in Richmond, Va. say they arrested Stewart when he returned a rental car at an airport rental location. Officials say they expect to make additional arrests in the case.
