Greenwich schools to move forward after superintendent resigns

Greenwich school leaders are working to move forward after hundreds of parents turned out at a special meeting last night in response to the news that the district's superintendent is resigning.

Many criticized the Board of Education last night after outgoing Greenwich Superintendent Sidney Freund issued a letter announcing his resignation, citing the disruptive action of two board members.

While officials look to find an interim superintendent, many of the people in the community say that is only the beginning to a solution that will take a lot of time.

Board members say they will likely begin the search process for a new superintendent in the fall.
