Police probe human bones found in the Housatonic River

Police were back on the scene today along the Housatonic River in Stratford where human remains were discovered by a passerby.

Police say a person walking along the riverbank off of Sniffens Road near Sikorsky Airport spotted a bone yesterday and called police.

Officials say dive teams that were called in later in the day found more bones in the river.

Investigators say tests show the bones are human.

Anyone with information is urged to call Stratford police at 203-385-4120.
