Man arraigned in Westport home invasion

A 20-year-old Westport man could face a decade in prison after police say he broke into a home on Imperial Avenue and brutally assaulted a man inside.

Shawn Tyler Horn was arraigned yesterday in Norwalk Superior Court.

Police say Horn got into the house through an unlocked door early Sunday morning and started beating 19-year-old John Hanley while he was sleeping.

Hanley's lawyer says his client's girlfriend used to date Horn and that may be why he was attacked.

The judge ordered Horn back to court on June 1 and was told to keep at least 100 yards away from the man he allegedly assaulted.

The victim is still under treatment at Norwalk Hospital.
