Police: Man shot, beaten with bat in Stamford

Stamford police are investigating an incident involving a 37-year-old man who they say was shot three times and assaulted with a baseball bat this morning. According to police, just after 5 a.m. they found a man lying in the middle of Lipton Place after the shooting and assault. The unidentified victim was taken to an area hospital in serious condition.Police officers secured a baseball bat and a truck with a bullet hole as evidence and spent hours working the scene. So far, no arrests have been made in the attack.
