Fairfield schools settle on redistricting plan

Plans to redistrict Fairfield middle schools are moving forward following a vote by the town's board of education.

Students joined their parents at a meeting last night to express their feelings about the plan.

The school district was looking at three options:

1 - Don't grandfather any of the students and send them all to new schools beginning next fall.

2 - Grandfather only those who will start the eighth grade next fall.

3 - Grandfather all the current middle school students.

The board settled on option three to grandfather all the students, according to Fairfield Patch.com.
