Fairfield parents rally against redistricting plan for schools

Parents rallied this afternoon against a redistricting plan passed by the Fairfield Board of Education.

The rally at the Sherman Green Gazebo on Post Road came after many argued the plan passed 10 days ago doesn't serve the best interest of their children.

The plan impacts middle-school students by changing which elementary schools feed into which middle schools.

While the change takes effect next fall, parents want the board to hold off on implementing the plan and reopen discussions on other options.
