Student accused of threatening assistant principal on Facebook

The Norwalk School District spoke to News 12 Connecticut this afternoon regarding the arrest of a sixth-grade student who allegedly threatened a school official.

Police say the Ponus Ridge Middle School student threatened to "beat up and kill" his assistant principal, Michael Pisseri, on his Facebook page Tuesday night.

Norwalk's School Superintendent Dr. Susan Marks says after learning about the post, the school had to take the threat seriously and investigate. The superintendent couldn't say what disciplinary action the district would take against the student.

The 12-year-old boy has been released to his grandmother and he's expected to appear in juvenile court next Friday.
