Man receives 25 years for Stamford murder

A Bridgeport man was sentenced to 25 years in prison this morning for killing a Stamford man in 2008.

Giovanni Rodriguez pleaded guilty to shooting Marco Paoletta after a game of racquetball in Stamford, then setting his car on fire and dumping his body on Vine Road in Stamford.

Rodriquez spoke out in court, saying that he was sorry and that it is important that he's not hated by the Paoletta family. Paoletta's family said it does not hate him and that it simply wants to see justice served.
